Sat Spanks!!

122ce-saturday2bspankings-mardi2bgras2bfloggers

This week went by so quickly. It seems the weeks are doing that these days. Anyway, it’s a good thing because that means it’s time for Sat Spanks!

My 8 sentences come from my brand spanking new release, Possessed by the Knight that tells Kalista and Caldwell’s story. Anyone who has read Pursued by the Knight will be familiar with these two but if you haven’t, never fear! I have blurbs.

Summary: Kalista has gone from rags to riches. She preferred rags – at least she understood that world. Fate has turned things upside down and she needs someone to cling to, someone like the powerful Knight Caldwell. But when Caldwell pretends she doesn’t exist and his brother comes calling in times of trouble, whom can she trust? Whose love will prove true in the end?

And for this week’s snippet we go straight to the sweet stuff, following last week’s blurb, Kalista and Caldwell had a disagreement, after carrying her away Caldwell is showing her what he’s prepared to do to help her:

“You could’ve listened but instead you were irritable.” He yanked her skirt up. A guttural
noise surged past his lips as his hand fell once more against her fragile skin. “Do. Not. Ignore.
Me.” Each word was accentuated with its own slap.
Her ass burned. Her first instinct was to cry out, tell him she was sorry, but as the pain
increased, it gave way to pleasure. Caldwell continued to punish her. His words distorted,
blocked by the sound of his rapid spankings.

Thank you for reading! Now, continue on to a smorgasbord of sexy snippets to warm up your Saturday:

Possessed by the Knight is here!!

Nothing is as nerve wracking or exciting as a new book release. So many emotions, so many worries, but I’m going to swallow those down and just get on with it.

But, what is this blasted book about? Let me tell you:

Summary: Kalista has gone from rags to riches. She preferred rags – at least she understood that world. Fate has turned things upside down and she needs someone to cling to, someone like the powerful Knight Caldwell. But when Caldwell pretends she doesn’t exist and his brother comes calling in times of trouble, whom can she trust? Whose love will prove true in the end?

Sample: Kalista slipped from her room into the quiet corridor. The early morning air, still crisp and sharp forced a shiver from her even as sun flooded through the castle windows. In moments her servant, Francine would be skipping to her room to help her prepare for the day. Kalista still wasn’t used to being waited on rather than being the one doing the waiting. There was definitely something to be said for being pampered, but it still made her uncomfortable.

She tiptoed through Harrington Castle, as different to Covard Castle as was possible, and her new home. Where Covard had been narrow and dingy, every corner of Harrington was open and bright. Even Ceravique, as pristine as it had seemed, surrounded by fields and meadows, had not been as beautiful.

“Miss, my Lady Kalista,” her servant rushed towards her out of breath and bright red.

“Hello, Francine,” Kalista said, somewhat sullenly.

Francine twittered like a bird on a branch. “You were not there, are you… oh but yes, you are dressed. Your hair though, I could….”

Kalista slowed so that Francine could catch her breath. “I think this will do for today.”

“My Lady, you are correct of course, but, the tournament. The opening ceremony is tonight. Wouldn’t you want something fancier to gain more requests for your favor?”

The only favor she gave two shakes about would be from a knight that wasn’t participating. Honestly, Kalista had forgotten about the tournament that King Braden had announced shortly after his wedding to her dearest friend and now Queen of Harrington, Georgianna. Her first request as queen had been to grant Kalista the title of noble. Just like that, Kalista had gone from the rags of a lady’s maid and servant to the luxurious satin dress she wore now.

“There’s plenty of time, Francine. Why don’t you spend the day planning in my room?”

Francine’s tiny, birdlike face lit up. “I will, my Lady. You’ll be the finest one there, except of course, the queen.” Francine blushed and dropped her head. Kalista hated the way the girl almost flinched from her as if afraid of punishment.

She set her hand softly on the girl’s arm. “I have every faith in you.”

Kalista could be wearing the finest dress in the kingdom, weave bright flowers in her hair and she still knew he wouldn’t even look at her. He hadn’t since their arrival to Harrington. As frightening as their escape from Covard had been, Kalista would gladly go back to that time if it meant having her knight look at her again.

She stopped at a door, raised her fist, and was in the act of knocking when the door suddenly opened.

Kalista felt the air rush out of her body as she stood face to face with the cause of her anxiety.

I’ll take this time to step back slowly and hyperventilate. Thanks for reading!

Tag! You’re it!

Tag, You’re It!

blank-tag

So I have been tagged, I’m it. This is a fun game for authors because we rock. Being “IT” means that you share information about your “work in progress” also known as “WIP” The Rules 1.) Give credit (including a link) to the Author who tagged you. 2.)Play by the rules, therefore you most post the rules! 3.)You MUST answer all 10 questions (below) some are quite hard but do your best. 4.)List five other Authors with links at the end that you have “tagged” so that the game can continue (more on this sad point at the end).
The Link Back
I was tagged by  PJ Perryman who is the fantastic author of, Drench the Wench and Kiss of the Marquis. She also has the fortune of being boss and member of Blushing Mischief, the author group responsible for A Spank in Time.
Q1.) What is the title or working title of your WIP?
Subdued by the Knight
Q2.) What genres does your novel fall under?
Historically Inaccurate Erotica
Q3.) What actors (Dream Cast) would you choose to play the characters in a film version?
Emmy Rossum would make a perfect Georgianna. Innocent, but with a sultry side (have you seen that  scene in Phantom?!).
John-Kenney-@-Gregory-Vaughan-2
John Kenney is who I didn’t realize I was thinking of when writing Braden until this moment (Not technically an actor, but who the hell cares? I mean, really, look at that and tell me you mind).
Q4.) What is the main outline for your book?
Subdued by the Knight, is only one of the stories in the erotic anthology,  A Spank in Time II – The Spanks You Missed.  It tells the story of Georgianna, recently engaged to the cruel Prince Lisben and her affair with knight and General of her fiance’s army, Braden. Georgianna realizes the affair cannot continue and plans to break it off. Braden is not the easily broken type.
Q5.) Will your book be Indie published/self published, or represented by an agency and sold to a traditional publisher?
A Spank in Time II – The Spanks You Missed, which will include my short story, Subdued by the Knight, will be published by Blushing Books, provider of the cheekiest stories known to womankind. Don’t worry, if there is one thing I will tell you (and repeatedly) is when, as soon as I know.
Q6.) How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
At a little over 6k, Subdued by the Knight, didn’t take long time-wise to write. Much of my effort was spent pre-writing, mulling over the tone and emotion I wanted to convey in the story.
Q7.) What other books in this genre would you compare your book to?
Oh, yikes. Humility forbids me from comparing my works to books I love and survival forbids me from comparing with books I didn’t enjoy. I gravitate towards stories with intense people who have no other reason to be with each other other than that they need to. I have my foundations in romance, so none of my stories are loveless.
Q8.) Who or what inspired you to write this book?
I love the idea of quiet strength. The squeakiest wheel gets the grease but I’m more interested in the silent wheel. I tried to play with that idea while writing Subdued by the Knight.
Q9.) What else about the book might pique readers’ attention?
Most noticeably, the other stories in the anthology. While everyone in Blushing Mischief writes some of the sexiest stuff around, we all write about very different people and places.
Q10.) Five other Indie Authors you have tagged
Here is the sad part. I have no friends. There, I said it. Well, I have friends, but they have already been tagged. Next time, I’ll start the game and tag everyone first. I can’t leave you with nothing though, so here, watch this eight minute video of people making out.

Blushing Interview

The writing group I am a part of, Blushing Mischief, has had its first author interview. You can see the full thing on the Blushing Books Blog .

A little snippet:

Blushing Books: It can be a challenge for just one writer to work with an editor. I this case it’s a group with one writer, PJ Perryman, essentially acting as a spokesperson and consulting with the group on everything from the synopsis to the cover art to what to call yourselves. How difficult was this?  What snags did you hit along the way?  Did you encounter any creative differences, and if so how did you resolve them?

Blushing Mischief: The biggest issue we had was the time difference. We have writers in the US, the Netherlands and Portugal, so coordinating meetings proved something of a challenge. The social media platforms helped a lot – and early on team roles were established to keep things on track. This could have been difficult but with so much talent on board it became relatively smooth sailing.

As it was her baby, PJ did the rallying and nudging and came up with a lot of promotional ideas. Oh, and she coordinated stuff like this. AC Masterson is a fabulous editor and took on a lot of the review work (Yay, thank you AC!!!) Jilly Glass is a superb networker and provided moral support to anyone who needed it. AT Quinn has been writing erotica for some time and brought her expert advice and knowledge to the table.  Sadie Dane and Sara Peal joined Blushing Mischief a little later on, but they are both amazing writers – and are fervent supporters of the spanking cause.

I can’t say how fun the interview was. I look forward to many more 🙂 If this interview has piqued your interest, don’t forget you can still purchase A Spank in Time.

He did what?!

I am a great lover of the mad lib. I’ve spent many an hour giggling when the big, fat rhinoceros farted in a pool of jello (I cannot believe I just wrote “farted”).

Now, I don’t mean to imply that writing erotica is simply a series of nouns verbing. I know when I write, my words are carefully thought out, so that the right noun correctly adverbs verbs the right noun. BUT, like I said before, mad libs are fun and erotica is the perfect canvas.

So here is the game, think of a word that corresponds to the one being asked. Then fill in the numbered blanks, read, and laugh. Or don’t laugh, you can guffaw or chuckle, if it is more your style. Also, don’t hoard the laughs, please post your mad lib in the comments section!

1. Exclamation

2. Body part

3. Verb

4. Adjective

5. Body Part

6. Adverb

7. Noun

8. Verb ending in -ing

9. Noun

10. Verb ending in -ed

11. Noun

(1) Exclamation!” she exclaimed as she felt Trevor’s (2) Body Part (3) verb up her thigh. His (4) adjective (5) body part was pressed against her bottom, snuggled (6) adverb between her two cheeks. She felt an ache that started in her (7) noun and spread. She turned to him, (8) Verb ending in  -ing her (9) noun against his body and (10) Verb ending in -ed his (11)noun while rubbing it slowly.

And just so you can see what I mean, here is mine:

“Holy Macaroni!” she exclaimed as she felt Trevor’s foot lick up her thigh. His stinky armpit was pressed against her bottom, snuggled quietly between her two cheeks. She felt an ache that started in her toaster and spread. She turned to him, swimming her car against his body and slapped his pony while rubbing it slowly.

Ahahahahaha, excuse me while I go laugh.

Up close and personal

As the old saying goes, to know someone is to own them. Wait…I just did a Google search and I’m not sure that is a real saying. Oh well, it should be.  And, by the way, “DIBS!” if it isn’t…

Anyway, I distracted myself. I’d like you all to feel like you are very best friends, practically twinsies with Charity, the servant girl who features in her own story in the anthology, A Spank In Time, that is, you won’t believe it, on sale now.

She is a girl who enjoys the simpler things in life, give her a firm hand and a good cup a tea and she’ll be your friend forever. That is, when James lets her out of his sight. Charity has always been a servant, but don’t feel bad for her, she’s had and continues to have a good life. If you want to get to know her better, ask me a question and I’ll ask her, or you can check out her interview here. If you’re sick of introductions, then please, check out this short sample and if the mood strikes you, visit Blushing Books and give the whole sexy anthology a go!

“Charity could not get the stench of pig filth out of her nose. George Bishop was always coming in too close for comfort. It wasn’t only that he insisted on standing so near to her, but he asked again if she’d given any more thought to his marriage proposal. Charity would have sooner lived with his pigs before she agreed to marry him. She pulled her coat more closely around her and walked quickly down the side of the rocky road.

Behind her, Charity heard the clip-clop of horse’s hooves, and she moved to the side as a black carriage passed her by. Before it reached the next corner she heard the driver order the horses to halt. He called out for her to come up to them, so she hurried to catch up — perhaps the Lord or Lady had returned early from their travels.

A voice called to her through the carriage window. “Has no one told you how impolite it is for a lady to travel without a companion?””

A tiny peek

(I know this is a really fast tomorrow, but what can I say? I just get so excited, like a chihuahua when you’ve come home from work)

In honor of Blushing Mischief’s ‘A Spank In Time’s’ release day, we thought we would give you a little look into just who you’ll find within its pages of delight.

Meanwhile, at the Collins Manor:

*James takes a seat on the sofa. Charity sits nervously on a large chair across from him*

James: Thank you for joining me today, Charity. I trust you are well.

Charity: Yes, thank you. Will this take long? I need to get back.

James: Of course, this will be brief, I know how much you want to run out of here. Let’s get right down to it. *He grabs his list* Ah, yes, here is a good one to start with. What or who is the greatest love of your life?

Charity: James! That is not an appropriate question. I will not answer it.

James: What a surprise. Fine, we’ll move on to something a little more appropriate to your delicate sensibilities. What is your most marked characteristic?

Charity: I don’t know. Maybe…I don’t know! What is this? I need to get back to the kitchen.

James: Are you going to answer any of my questions? *Charity stares at him silently* You are so frustrating. Moving on. What is your greatest regret?

Charity: *She blushes* Hiding from you.

James: No one made you. *He leans forward* Why are you sitting all the way over there? Move closer.

Charity: No, thank you. I’m fine where I am.

James: Fine. *A moment passes* Which talent would you most like to have?

Charity: To be an expert marksman.

James: We’re working on that. It will happen. *He consults his list* Oh yes, this is a good one. What is the quality you most like in a man?

Charity: *She smiles* Humility.

James: Now you are just teasing me. Next question. What is the quality you most like in a woman?

Charity: Bravery. *Her gaze travels from the window to the ground, anywhere but at James*

James: What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Charity: My cowardliness.

James: Are you sure you don’t want to sit a little closer? *Charity relents, taking a seat next to him. Being so near to him instantly kindles a fire inside of her* There that’s better. Only a few more. What do you consider the more overrated virtue?

Charity: Patience. *She leans into him*

James: Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait much longer. *He glances at the list* Here is one I very much would like the answer to. On what occasions do you lie?

Charity: To you? Always…never.

James: Which is it?

Charity: Does it matter?

James: No, I suppose not. Here we are, last one. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Charity: *She smiles* The many layers of clothing I am wearing.

James: That is definitely something I can help you with.

My Descent

Like most people, I didn’t crawl out of the womb writing erotica. I was writing sonnets. Really, I tumbled out, covered in placenta, looking for things to compare to a summer’s day–no, I kid.

My voyage into erotica was not something I could’ve foreseen. At first it was less of a voyage and more of a paddle boat ride in a very shallow pond. Maybe I should back up.

I was pleasantly minding my own business when a friend asked me, “Have you ever considered writing erotica?” My first response was something along the lines of, “No. And if I tried it would probably sound like, ‘and then he thrust his you know into her secret garden of love and gross smells.'”

Before I could say this out loud she told me about a little project that she wondered if I would like to try and be a part of. I’d written stuff in the past, and am a big fan of romance in any form. I’d even written sex scenes and make-out scenes, but they were always the type that faded to black. I never had to really get deep into it, so to speak.

So I sat down with one purpose: To write a sex scene. Almost immediately I had these characters, and I was gonna get them to do it. I was gonna get them to do it hard. I wrote, kept writing, continued writing. Before I knew it I had a few thousand words of two people hanging out, going to lunch, bantering, but no hanky panky. I got a little frustrated, it was like dating in real life, my characters had put me in the friend zone.

After a few cocktails and some er…research, I decided to stop freaking and calm down. “You can’t force it, Sadie,” is what I told myself. And I just kept writing. Sounds boring, I know. I kept writing, and when the time was right, you will all be happy to hear, my characters did indeed, do it. Even better, he did not thrust his you know inside her smelly compost…

What did he do? Well, you’ll have to hang around and I’ll tell you how to find out.

*Sadie

Sit, stay, good girl (or boy)

Hello and welcome!

If you managed to find me here, tucked away in the darkest corners, then please stay. It isn’t much to look at now, but you wait and see.

You should know, much of what is posted here is not safe for work and should be looked at by people 18 and older. With that, come back often, look forward to what is to come, and check out my friends.
